Mark Leffler

Mark Leffler, founder and owner of Work The Funk Out, is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM CPT), National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM PES). All personal training and fitness offerings are based in the beautiful city of San Francisco.

Additional Specializations: Kettlebell Training, Integrated Stretching and Flexibility, Cycling, and Training the Pregnant and Post-partum Client.

Personal Training in San Francisco

    $7,410 / 78 sessions / $95 per session

    Have a beach-ready body year round. The Bikini Body program works to help you drop those extra pounds and tone muscles you never knew you had. Increase your strength and build a lean muscled body from head to toe through strength training and mobility exercises. In addition to workouts, WTFO provides nutritional counseling on dietary do’s and don’ts, coaching on how to taper off of alcohol, food log assistance and onsite grocery shopping consultation.

    Who it is for: Women looking for encouragement and support as they work toward lean muscles and a strong body.

    Duration: Six months, three sessions per week

  • Moms I'd Like to Know (MILK)

    $9,945 / 117 sessions / $85 per session (prices may vary)

    Medical experts encourage healthy women, whether they are about to have their first child or their third, to maintain a consistent exercise regimen during pregnancy. Doing so results in prenatal and postnatal benefits such as alleviating back pain or decreasing the risk of postnatal depression. The MILK program is carefully designed to help you adjust to the changes your body undergoes during pregnancy while remaining fit. The safe training techniques target core strength and stability. WTFO consults your doctor during pregnancy to make sure workouts stay within doctor’s recommendations and your comfort level.

    Who it is for: Pregnant women with doctor’s approval to continue an exercise routine during pregnancy.

    Duration: Nine months, three sessions per week

    It is discouraging when an old injury flares up every time you start to get in shape or you can’t remember the last time you were without pain. Whether your goal is running a marathon or lifting up your child, this program is designed to teach you how to regain and restore your confidence in the physical capabilities of your own body. To tackle more advanced conditioning, WTFO focuses on strengthening weakened muscles and improving mobility of the joints so you can live by your goals and not according to the limitations of your pain. WTFO will work with your medical specialist to tailor your sessions, maximizing recovery.

    Who it is for: People recovering from an injury, surgery, or looking to live without pain.

    Do you want to look and feel like a Spartan warrior? It takes hard work to get hard muscles. For those who would like to join the 300 Club, this will be one of the toughest and well, kickass things you can do for your body. Maximize your endurance, lean muscle and strength to its fullest potential through push-ups, pull-ups, lunges and more. In addition to workouts, WTFO provides nutritional counseling on dietary do’s and don’ts, coaching on how to taper off of alcohol, food log assistance and onsite grocery shopping consultation.

    Who is it for: Men looking for support and expertise on how to lose weight and obtain the physique of a Spartan warrior.

    Duration: Six months, three sessions per week

    As two people make the commitment of forever to each other, one can make the pledge to look and feel good long before the wedding day. Whether you want to fit into a dress or simply be photo ready, WTFO welcomes wedding participants looking to commit to their own good health and physical goals. This program is designed around your objectives, your body and your well-being. WTFO works with you to boost your energy, metabolism and strength so when the wedding day deadline arrives, the new, improved you will have new healthy habits to keep with you long after the wedding bells ring.

    Couples training is available with different price offerings. Trainer must first meet with couple to determine if this is a viable option.

    Who it is for: Open to brides, grooms and wedding party participants preparing for an upcoming wedding day.

    Duration: Six months, three sessions per week; OR one year, two sessions per week
